At 9 a.m. on November 23, 2023, the inaugural ShanghaiAirshow 2023, themed "Ecological Integration, Innovation-Driven, and Jointly Building a New Chapter in the Development of the Commercial Aerospace Industry" focusing on the entire commercial aviation industry chain, grandly opened at the Shanghai Exhibition Center!



Senior officials and leaders from organizers of ShanghaiAirshow included Mr. Zhang Yanzhong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Mr. Li Qingtang, director and deputy secretary of the Party committee of AVIC; Mr. Chen Shaoyang, deputy general manager and member of the Party committee of AECC; Mr. Hu Yaming, deputy director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China's East China Regional Administration; Mr. Li Zhiyong, chief engineer of China Eastern Airlines; Mr. Feng Xin, president and deputy secretary of the Party committee of Shanghai Airport Authority; Mr. Gong Wei, vice president of Shanghai Lingang Economic Development (Group) Co., Ltd.; Mr. Xu Qinghong, executive deputy chairman of the Shanghai Aeronautical Society; Ms. Shirley Gao, chairman of Beijing China Promotion Company were attending the opening ceremony and cut the ribbon.

Using the Exhibition as a Medium to Gather World-Renowned Enterprises and Industry Elites

AVIC, AECC, China Eastern Airlines, COMAC,CET, BAOWU, Aluminum Corporation of China, Shanghai Airport Authority, Shanghai Lingang Group, and international aviation renowned enterprises such as Airbus, GE Aerospace, Liebherr, United Engine Corporation (UEC), Dassault Systemes, AVIAGE, PPG, and Parker Aerospace made their debut and gathered at the airshow. 13,000 square meters of exhibition area 206 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions More than 15,000 professional visitors



AVIC displayed civil aircraft, airborne systems, and specialized supporting equipment according to the model of "one main aircraft exhibition area + one system supporting and specialized exhibition area." Main Aircraft Exhibition Area: Led by key models such as the "Xinzhou" series, AG600, AC series, and "Yilong" series, it systematically displayed main products of the civil aviation equipment, including commercial aircraft, general aircraft, civil helicopters, and civil unmanned aerial vehicles. Airborne Specialized Exhibition Area: Centering on "one center and ten modules," it systematically displayed the core capabilities of civil aircraft airborne systems.



AECC conducted a serialized and panoramic display of commercial aircraft engines and general aviation power for the first time.
CJ1000A
A civil large bypass turbofan engine, fully committed to creating a powerful "Chinese heart" for commercial aircraft, meeting the power requirements of 150 to 180-seat single-aisle aircraft, featuring low emissions, low noise, and low fuel consumption.
CJ2000
A large bypass turbofan engine with a takeoff thrust exceeding 35,000 kgf, characterized by low fuel consumption, low emissions, low noise, high reliability, long service life, and low maintenance costs.
WZ16 Engine
This engine has received a Type Certificate (TC) and is equipped on the AC352 helicopter and other 7-ton class twin-engine helicopters.
AEP500 Turboprop Engine
This is a 5,000-kilowatt turboprop engine with fully independent intellectual property rights. It fills the gap in this power class of turboprop engine types in China.



COMAC showcased a new variant of the C919 commercial aircraft at the airshow, featuring both a shorter 140-seat layout and an extended 210-seat layout to meet diverse market demands.

China Eastern Airlines
The equipment integration company under China Eastern Airlines displayed a hydrogen-powered baggage tug, filling a gap in domestic special vehicles using new fuel cell technology for civil aviation.

Shanghai Airport Authority
As a key builder of Shanghai's international shipping center, Shanghai Airport Authority used the airshow as a platform to showcase its achievements in cross-regional multi-airport system construction, the establishment of Shanghai as a national logistics hub, the development of the large aircraft industrial park, and the creation of a public information platform for Shanghai air cargo logistics, “AviPort.” This facilitated discussions on the development of the commercial aerospace industry with various stakeholder

The 4th Aero-Engine Technology Development Exchange Conference

The exchange conference, themed "Smart Transformation Empowering Green Aviation," will feature speeches from AECC’s Vice General Manager and Party Member Xiang Qiao, along with academicians Liu Daxiang, Le Jialing, Chen Xiangbao, Gan Xiaohua, Yang Shanlin, and Tian Hongqi in attendance. Academicians Yin Zeyong, Ding Wenjiang, Tang Lixin, Wang Zili, Wu Xinhua (Academician of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering), Chen Yingchun (Chief Expert of the C929 wide-body aircraft from COMAC), and Professor Cheng Yanhua from Donghua University, among others, will deliver keynote speeches on the deep integration of intelligent technology with aviation engine innovation and the construction of a future for green, low-carbon, high-quality development of aviation engines. During the conference, Shanghai’s Vice Mayor Liu Duo will meet with the attending academicians.

This forum, themed "Innovative Integration, Win-Win Development - Promoting High-Quality Development of Civil Aircraft Materials Industry," aims to facilitate dialogue and exchanges among upstream and downstream enterprises in the civil aircraft materials sector, fostering mutual integration and learning. It seeks to accurately grasp the cutting-edge development directions of the industry, collaboratively tackle key technological challenges in the field of materials, and resolve common issues related to the research, production, and verification applications of civil aircraft materials, thereby promoting high-quality development of the civil aircraft materials industry to better support the growth of domestically produced large aircraft.

Over 120 guests from major civil aircraft manufacturers, structure and system suppliers, materials producers, research institutions, universities, and evaluation units from across the country attended the summit forum.
